Very jam from Queensbay until Jerejak there

I just trapped in the traffic jam from Queensbay until Jerejak there, after that, smooth while getting up to the bridge. Please be patient. Jam without any reason, might be too many cars already.

Penang Bridge CLOSE Tonight

Please to be informed that Penang Bridge will be CLOSED tonight for the Penang Bridge Marathon Event on 21st November 2010.

Never reach Penang Bridge at 7.30am

This morning, I reached Penang Bridge at 7.30am, very regret that I came out from house late, being trapped in the traffic jam. So you too, try to depart early, if not, you will cry.

* Lucky, I reached office at 8am sharp, consider no late. :P

Today's weather on Penang Bridge

Early in the morning at 7am while I was driving from Butterworth to Penang. A very bad weather at the end of Penang Bridge, heavy rain. Kindly drive safe especially those motorcyclist.

Penang bridge Widening Of The Longest Bridge In South East Asia

3 Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) power cables caught fire on the Penang Bridge, causing a massive traffic jam.

The jam on both sides of the bridge, leading to the city and Butterworth, eased only after more than seven hours.

The 10am fire, which occurred some 2km away from the Prai toll plaza, also caused a two-minute power disruption in parts of Bayan Baru, Gelugor and the city yesterday.

Penang Bridge lights installed

Last week, suddenly felt something was different on bridge while driving back home, the lights! Yea, I found out that penang bridge lights have been installed. Seems the expandable works almost done and hope that will fix jam problem. :)

The traffic now in Penang Bridge has resumed back to normal d.

Toppled crane causes massive jam on Penang Bridge

GEORGE TOWN: A crane which toppled on the Penang Bridge early Thursday morning caused massive jams along the Jelutong Expressway and the Bayan Lepas coastal road heading towards the mainland.

A spokesman from Penang Bridge Sdn Bhd said the incident occurred at about 4am.

“The accident occurred at KM3.6 after the middle span. The boom of the crane fell into the sea and caused the crane to topple.

“The lanes heading towards the mainland are closed now and we’re currently using contra flow, which we’re using the lanes from the opposite direction.

“So now we have one lane heading towards the mainland and one lane heading to the island,” he said.

Normal traffic flow is expected to have resumed by 11.45am.

Today, a super heavy wind and rainy day. I was on the spot saw a car hit the signboard on bridge, which the signboard was " moving " to center by the HEAVY WIND!!!

After that, I was almost hit a defender too which also " moving " to center by the WIND...

PLEASE DRIVE SLOW AND SAFE ON BRIDGE.

How is the expandable works now on Penang bridge?

Last week i had taken photos for the expandable works on Penang Bridge. Kinda speed up already, seems the " bone " almost done, will be going to fill up the TAR soon I think.
